How Goodwall Changed My Life and Career

In 2021, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was a high school student struggling through one of the most challenging periods of my life. Like many others, I was facing uncertainty, and at the same time, I was dealing with a phase of depression. That’s when I discovered Goodwall—a platform that I initially joined out of curiosity, not knowing it would completely transform my career, mindset, and future.

A Journey of Growth and Discovery

At first, I was just exploring Goodwall to understand how it worked. But soon, I started seeing posts about climate change, opportunities, and global challenges. As a nature lover, I felt an instant connection to climate activism. Through the platform, I met young entrepreneurs, sustainability leaders, and changemakers, each working on inspiring projects. One of the most influential people I connected with was Gokul Rajendran, Founder & CEO of Govardhan App and Climate Entertainment, as well as a Siddha medicine student. His posts introduced me to opportunities I had never known existed—conferences, leadership programs, and global networking events.

The Birth of Agrio & My First Global Opportunity

I had always wanted to start my own organization, and Goodwall gave me the push I needed. Before launching Agrio, I got my first real exposure to international collaboration through Open17 Climate Justice Challenge, conducted by CERN and IdeaSquare. I was selected to be part of a team of four, where we worked on a project called Localify.

This program was a turning point for me. Under the mentorship of Laura Wirtavuori and Ole Werner, we learned essential skills like:

• ✅ Prototyping and project development
• ✅ Stakeholder engagement
• ✅ The Crowd4SDG methodology

This experience gave me the confidence to take bigger steps in my journey as a climate activist and entrepreneur.

Winning Challenges & Gaining Recognition

Goodwall also provided me with direct opportunities to showcase my skills and win challenges:

• 🏆 Winner of the Goodwall Pitch Challenge – I won $100, which I invested into my organization’s activities.
• 🏆 Selected for the Goodwall Youth Council – A platform that enabled me to contribute to global youth discussions.
• 🏆 Winner of the Art Beyond Borders Challenge 2024 – Winning this competition not only provided me with prize money but also helped me start my blogging journey properly.
• 🏆 Selected as a Goodwaller Creator – Another exciting milestone where I get to contribute more actively to the Goodwall community and inspire others.

Beyond these achievements, one of the biggest highlights for me was getting the opportunity to talk directly with Goodwall’s Co-Founder, Omar Bawa. This conversation reinforced how impactful the platform is in empowering young people worldwide.
